Objective:
Responsible for providing technical support to machining operation
including machining problem solving, making CNC program, designing
tool and fixture, giving training to operator.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development and lead in the execution of
production schedules consistent with business needs.
2. Assist in developing new machining capability and manufacturing
new product according to company strategy.
3. Provide leadership and coordination for problem solving
production machining issues.
4. Coordinate outside support maintenance resources in support
of both preventive maintenance and production schedule objectives.
5. Assist supplier foundry operations in development and qualification
of new castings; problem resolution for existing production
castings.
6. Provide training and instruction for both internal and
external machining operations as required and assigned.
7. Manage internal inventories of tooling, gauging, fixtures
and support supplies consistent with established and production
requirements.
Requirements:
1. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including
geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
2. Prior training or experience developing and supporting
CNC programs for CNC machine tools. Prior experience with
Horizontal Machining Centers desirable.
3. Process development and manufacturing support experience
for machining turning and metal cutting operations, preferably
for both cast iron products and turned bar stock metal components.
4. Ability to develop and implement effective process instruction
and process control documentation required.
5. Process development and manufacturing support experience
for green sand foundry operations desirable.
6. Knowledge of materials and good machining practices required.
7. knowledge of total quality control required, knowledge
of gauge and CMM required
8. Knowledge of cutting tools especial form cutting tool required
9. Knowledge of fixture design required
10. Knowledge of hydraulic required
11. Knowledge of machining process required
12. Familiar with FANUC CNC controller, and do well in programming
