Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to the Johnson Matthey project team during
the SAP implementation, while also working closely with Johnson
Matthey's project manager and the implementation consultants.
2. Provide support to end users within Johnson Matthey's site
in Shanghai, working on FICO, MM, SD, PP & QM.
3. Interface with users on a regular basis to assess:
o User acceptance of the system
o System problems
o User training requirements.
4. Receive and administrate questions and error reports:
o Solve problems reported by first line support
o Report faults / errors to SAP helpdesk and Johnson Matthey's
regional SAP team
o Follow up with helpdesk to ensure errors are resolved
o Formulate requirements for further investigation
o Analyse and follow up error reports, propose and implement
improvements
o To report status of a problem / solution to the first line
support
o Document the solution of the problem in a regional knowledge
database for future use.
5. Develop and maintain a good level of competence and knowledge
in the following areas:
o Johnson Matthey's operations
o General IT technical issues (systems development, networking,
tools, standards etc.)
o Latest SAP developments and future upgrades.
6. Analyse requirements for additional master data, programming,
tables, forms and reports, and liaise with the regional SAP
team.
7. Manage training requirements:
o Analyse training needs and specify requirements for training
courses
o Oversee an ongoing end user training program
o Develop training materials independently or in co-operation
with SAP.
8. Liaise with the regional SAP helpdesk and the SAP system
hosting service provider.
9. Working with the management team, identify business process
improvement opportunities.
Education:
At least university degree
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with SAP, preferably
as a functional lead in SD, MM, PP or QM either working as
a consultant or with a company that has implemented SAP ERP.
2. Some working knowledge of Basis would be an advantage,
but is not a prerequisite.
3. Experience with complex ERP implementations and interfaces,
as well as experience with software development best practices,
including defining requirements, system design and quality
assurance.
4. He/she must have excellent presentation and communication
skills, with a demonstrated focus on customer service.
5. Strong ability to interact, communicate and influence within
multiple levels of the organization is key.
